Bought the new Kawasaki 260X Jet Ski.
Got a good deal, in fact a hell of a deal,, and we're excited.

We're now headed for Yellowstone and will pick it up when we get back. BUT:

We've been hearing that after about 10 to 25 hours, they are difficult to start,, in fact usually won't start at all.
No fix from Kawasaki yet, and the problem is common to them all.

A guy I contacted in Australia said it's the TPS that won't let the Jet Ski start unless it's at idle. It's gets a false reading that it's not at idle when in fact it is.

That's just his take, and he fixed it by adjusting the throttle cable a few mm's.
If it's so easy, and that's the problem,, why hasn't Kawai reacted to the scads of 260's waiting in dealer service depts for the fix???

Sooo, I'm now pondering collecting the deposit and forgetting about the whole thing,,,, or going ahead and buy it, and hope for the best with the problem.

We just finally got the 5th wheel heating issue solved,, and now this.

Waddya think? Walk from the deal,, or follow through????

5 year Kawasaki warranty part of the deal.
They threw it in with the trailer, cover and spare.

No word from Kawasaki on what the real fix is.

20 gallon fuel tank!
If you like it, get it. If something does go wrong and they can't fix it you tell them to give your money back. Lemon Law.

Runs beyond scary fast. It's insane fast.
Instant 0 to 70.
Having a rider along make no difference.
Murderous, homicidal power, clean smooth, superb ride.
In all honesty, hanging on to the handle bars at 75% throttle is tough, and your head is swimming from the acceleration.
It's a big winner with the family and wife.

Kinda fun when single rider guys pass us hauling ass on their sea doos then the wife and I blow by them at light speed.
