Is anyone going to mess with their quad this summer?


Not me, it ran fine last season and don't want to mess with it. Only thing I might do is get a new steering stem, the stock one is a little bent from my crash last T-Day.

Nothing for the 09-R.

Waiting for controls for the 04. Ready to start. Battery charged and full of fluids.
Eventually get a shock that is more capable for the +6 arm, but that is another paycheck I don't have right now.

Well, I have things to do with Islandgirl's and Little_Gunz_.

Islandgirl needs a new battery and carb needs to be cleaned.

Little_Gunz_ needs the carb cleaned.

I still need to buy a bunch of exhaust wrap. If I would have thought of it, I should have got it and pulled all the exhaust and taken them to the beach. Mmmm, exhaust pipes and red beer.
And the radiator on the R1. If you see a smoken' deal on a 660 extended trailing arm.....
Just regular servicing otherwise.

Mine didn't get much use - I just have to bolt on a few things:

The big steering dampner I bought last year and haven't put on.
My color-matched rings on my Hyper's.
. . . and I still need to flip my rear sprocket to the other side of the do-hickey that holds it.

Probably a grand total of an hour . . . just gotta find an hour . . .

Take a look at this one, Raptor 660 +16 swingarm.. It does not use any bearings in the pivot ends & is a no-link type.. $235.00 shipped or feel free to make an offer.. But in his last post, he's brought the price down to $200 shipped.

Got things all back together on the 523 this w/e. Cranked over. Didn't fire though.
Need to check the spark plug, fuel line, carb, etc.

That's funny! I can get one made by a few manufacturers for $400. And then I have to buy a chain, chain guide, brake line, shock....

Now that the steering stem is fixed, time to buy a case of oil and change the oil in all three quads. Also, still need to buy a new battery for Islandgirl's quad. Time is running down, time to get working on the quads, desert season is right around the corner. :cheers:drink2DSD Roll

Case of Amsoil oil purchase today. Should be here next week so I can change the fluids in all the quads before Halloween.

Two new batteries came in this past weekend for the Suzuki's. Replaced stock for stock on the 250 but upgraded the 400 to a battery for the LTR450. Worked on both tonight and got both running fine. Took a little while to dial in Islandgirl's quad, I hate carburetors. But after a few tear downs and cleaning, got it running like it should.
